“Oh no, Mommy!”  JJ had gotten sick.  In my bed.  At 1am.

Bless her heart.  We were up for quite a long time last night.  Getting sick, taking showers, changing sheets, watching Strawberry Shortcake…getting sick.

After she’d gotten sick for about the 3rd time, she was sitting in the bathroom with me…

“Mommy….can I go to school tomorrow?”

“No, honey.  Not tomorrow.  You can go when you feel better.”

“Well can I go see Brother??”

“No, baby.  We can’t go see Brother when we’re sick.”

*with a look of dawning of her face* “Mommy….Daddy wanted me to tell you something this morning.”

“What’s that sweetie?”

“Happy Birthday, Momma.”

Thank you, sweet girl.  I love you.

Awwww, that’s so precious that she was thinking of you even when she was feeling crummy. Aren’t kids just amazingly resilient? Happy Birthday!…assuming today is really your birthday and she wasn’t hallucinating from all of the sickness. Ugh 😦
P.S. Love, love, love your new blog!

Oh how precious! That brings tears to my eyes! What a sweet sweet girl! Oh, and by the way, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! When we are mothers, birthdays are just another day to us- it’s our kids who make them special(and our husbands). Praying for you all daily, and praying your next birthday will be celebrated in style- you deserve a special day!
